Hotel Reservations with Archipelago

The logistics team at the Bali office will happily assist with hotel reservations before and after any liveaboard cruise.

Generally divers will arrive in Indonesia at least one day in advance of the departure date of the cruise, spending one night in a comfortable hotel, recovering from international travel. For divers wishing to overnight in Bali, there are four main areas which may be appropriate, here is a brief overview of each destination; Archipelago has preferential rates with a selection of hotels in each region, so please feel free to discuss any requirements with the Archipelago Bali office team.

Seminyak; the most cosmopolitan area of Bali, rolling waves, a sprawling beach and a selection of high end restaurants and villa accommodations.

Sanur; Bali's family quarter, just 25 minutes from the airport, Sanur is convenient and quiet, a selection of nice restaurants and a pretty beach make for a relaxing and quiet stop over.

Ubud; Bali's arts and cultural centre, an hour long drive from the airport, Ubud is situated amongst Bali's beautiful rice Padies, great restaurants and the famous Monkey Forest.

Kuta; Not really recommended as a cultural gem in Bali, however with close proximity to the airport, Kuta can make a convenient overnight stop for time conscious divers.

En Route Overnights

It is an unfortunate situation that flight schedules may involve an overnight en-route to the cruise departure destination. This can sometimes be the case certain week day departures for Raja Ampat cruises departing out of Sorong. If this does occur, Archipelago can arrange for divers to overnight in a pleasant hotel in Makassar.

In addition to International flight arrivals through Bali, there are also possibilities for divers to join through Jakarta or Manado, which are also destinations where Archipelago can assist with hotel reservations at preferntial rates.

In addition to these, Archipelago works closely with Maluku Divers, the landbased dive centre in Ambon, Archipelago recommends a pre cruise or post cruise land based dive add on experience for any diver who will embark or disembark in Ambon. This option is certainly a cost effective way to extend the dive experience in East Indonesia.
