Archipelago What to Bring

What To Bring on board the Adventurer II

Each port will require copies of the passport of every foreign national. These will have been requested and processed by the Archipelago team prior to departure. However, it is best to bring three or four passport copies to have handy as a back up.

Currency in bad condition is often rejected or subject to lower rates of exchange. This is particularly so with US$, if divers plan to bring quantities of these notes, ensure they are dated after the year 2000, or more preferably they would be new US$ notes.

Mosquito repellent can be useful when trekking or exploring islands and beaches during the day. Mosquitoes are generally most persistent just after sunrise or around dusk. When at sea aboard the vessel, mosquitoes are rarely any problem at all.

The Adventurer II vessel has an extensive library; however a good book is always a good companion on any cruise.

Despite cruising at the best times for each region, unseasonal weather can occur at any stage. With this in mind, it is useful to bring a light waterproof jacket, these can also protect against strong gusts of wind.

A long sleeved fleece or similar garment may be useful in the evenings for those who wish to relax on the outside deck after dark.

What to Bring; Dive Requirements

For night dive lovers, please bring a suitable flashlight with ample batteries or recharging facilities. The Archipelago Adventurer II liveaboard has a small selection of flashlights, however these are always subject to damage or loss on any given cruise. It is strongly advised for divers to bring their own flashlights.

Original copies of every divers most recent dive certicifation card will be required by the Adventurer II cruise directors. Dive log books would also be useful.

The Archipelago Adventurer II liveaboard has both 110 volt and 220 volt outlets in each cabin and in the camera room on the main deck. The vessel also has a selection of electric plug adaptors, however, as with dive flashlights, these are always subject to damage or loss on any given cruise. It is strongly advised for divers to bring their own electrical plug adaptors to ensure their electrical outlets can be recharged during the voyage..
